Grand Luxor Village

"I was not expecting the level of quality this hotel provides. It is a great hotel for people who want a resort hotel with great amenities like spa, kids club, pool, night time shows and a free access theme park for hotel guests. (Terimiitika and mundomar) Warning: if you want a central city feel this hotel is not for you. This hotel is 15 mins from central Benidorm and is located near the hill side where there is peace and quiet. The hotel checking is very busy from 10am to 11.30am due to guests being able to use the free theme parks tickets on checkin day and check out day so this will require patience. The staff do there best and there are plenty of staff. Your room will be ready for 4pm as stated in policy so do not expect a room earlier. Terimitika theme park for me very underrated. I was not expecting much but it beat my expectations. The shows are in Spanish so don’t expect shows in English. The rides are good and has some good rides for the little ones aswel. There is an onsite water park which is a bonus. The themeing of the park is spot on and just come down the pecking list to Disney, universal but very impressive. Mundomar is a great animal sanctuary and has some of the best animal shows I have seen. The parrot, sea lion and dolphin shows were excellent. Also lots of other animals to see and great views from the high vantage point. A lot of uphill walking so be prepared. The hotel seems newly renovated. I had room C303 and this had great sea views and views over Benidorm. The house keeping is spot on and shows in how clean the rooms look. The lady for my floor was brilliant. The room has a king bed and a double sofa bed, a balcony with a massive bathroom with a his and hers sink, whirlpool bath, separate shower. There is enough draw space for clothes aswel. There are 2 pool areas. One the main pool area with pool bar and music etc and a second on the opposite side of the hotel which is quieter but both brilliant. The staff at the pool are brill. Make sure at checking you get towel cards for the pool which cost 10 euros returnable deposit per towel. You keep the cards for the full stay and when you hand the towel back each time you get your card back. The deposit will be returned on checkout taking a few days to return to you. There are a few restaurant options and buffet for people on board basis. There are nighty shows for the full family. A huge terrace sitting area. There is a shop for essentials on site . The ac is brilliant on a hot day across the hotel The kids club has a soft play and other planned activities throughout the day. Well done all at the hotel. I hope to return."

"Very impressed with this hotel. Was not expecting a lot due to the recent reviews it has had this summer so far, however it has been exactly what we have needed. This is a big hotel but it also has a lot of public space so it never gets too over crowded. Of course if you avoid breakfast time from 9.30. Breakfast had plenty on offer, 2 large pool areas with plenty of beds. They never ran out of beds when we weee there but they could have done with a bit more shade. Room was a good size for 2 adults and a 5 year old. The little one had the pull out sofa bed which would not be comfy for an adult but fine for a small child. They top up your water in the room too daily and they have a good size fridge. I saw a lot of reviews about parking. There is free parking but it is indeed rammed but it is also out in the sun with no shade. We paid 12euros for every 24 hours for the indoor parking connected to the hotel. Plenty of spaces and kept the car for coming to and from the hotel. Kids entertainment was fine, nothing amazing but a nice little bonus. Then there was the parks. What a great benefit. You can go to 1 park a day and Terra Metica is literally across the day. We would have been on 3 different occasions. One for the rides, we are going back tonight for the shows and then tomorrow for the water park. Very happy with our stay and please don’t be concerned before arriving once you read the reviews. We were booked on a B&B basis."
