"Just had a week here for the first time as a couple. The location is fantastic from the point of view it's at the quiet end of Benidorm, Cala Da Finestrat area but wanted to try a different end after having two previous trips to the main town. There is a supermarket opposite the hotel and plenty of shops restaurants and bars nearby. We walked from the hotel one day to old town then right down to the end of Lavante beach all along the promenade which is flat and easy to do if you like walking. Of course there are taxis and buses from right outside the hotel if you are not a walking fan which will take you all over Benidorm. Definitely recommend the Museo de motors which is about a 25 minute walk from the hotel (a fab day out). The hotel is huge, with one tower over 40 floors and then the smaller building next door which we were situated in. We were on the 10th floor and the views from there over the pool, main Benidorm area and the mountains inland were amazing. We were lucky to have a room at the end of the corridor with wrap around balcony so sun was on it all day! The pool was great and not too deep, so good for everyone involved. Plenty of space outside with sun loungers and tables and chairs. Outside and inside bar, entertainment day and night and lounge areas really nice and relaxing and gave you the option to join in or not. The reception area even had a few boutique clothes shops which were reasonably priced, so nice for a change of scenery. There are glass elevators on the outside of the big tower (which are free) and they go right up to the top, so worth going in that for a video of the stunning views from the top, also a sky top terrace which is open in the day for a visit at €5 per guest or you can go up at night and have a cocktail for €18 per guest. We chose that option and it was worth it for the views across the whole of Benidorm at night, it was amazing! You do only get an hour time slot though. Our room was clean comfortable and had everything we needed including a mini fridge. We chose to pay for a safe via reception with a deposit. Nice feature was we could put money on our room key to get discounted drinks at the bars and if you don't use it all it's refunded at the end of your stay. Although we chose only one towel change during the visit, every housekeeping staff member we met during our stay seemed lovely and attentive when we met them, and the corridors were also very clean and smelt lovely and fresh whenever we arrived back at our room. Downside with the room was we could hear every time someone flushed their toilet, so not sure if we were near the main downpipe, but it was a loud gushing water noise? Only real dislikes are the poor WI-FI signal, the lifts can sometimes take a while to arrive just purely because of the sheer volume of guests going up and down, so we tended to walk down and lift back up, but if you are patient then won't be a problem. We had a deal which was full board and surprisingly included a small caraf of wine and water with lunch and dinner. There were two buffet restaurants, a slightly smaller one on the reception floor and then a much larger one downstairs to accommodate the amount of guests present. We found there were plenty of choices for each meal, plenty of seating, all very clean in the restaurants and everything looked appertizing, but on occasion some items we chose weren't hot, but they do provide microwaves to heat things up. At peak times you will queue for coffee and watch guests use cereal bowls for their coffee cups because they can't be bothered to walk to the other side of the room for a cup!!! We stayed seven nights/six days and we managed all three meals for the first two days, but by the third day whilst drinking our coffee at breakfast we decided we couldn't take any more buffet - THIS WAS THROUGH NO FAULT OF THE HOTEL AT ALL - we had just been exhausted watching such gluttony from other guests on a massive scale and simply put us off! We ate out for the rest of our stay and it was a much more pleasant experience interacting with the locals during a more relaxing leisurely meal rather than watching the food zombies pile drive food in a windowless room! Just to reiterate this is not the hotels fault, we decided the buffet scenario was not for us and have decided to not book full board ever again off the back of it. Because the hotel was so vast you tend to see different staff everyday, so you don't get that personal attachment to anyone sadly which we have had in other smaller hotels in the past. We witnessed another English guest during our stay verbally abuse a bartender because she tried to get a drink after 12pm, when the bar shuts at 12pm, this made us feel awkward being British abroad and can see why some staff members looked jaded with some guests. Overall though would we stay again definitely without hesitation, but just room only."
