"We travelled with Jet 2 and we have been to the Agua Azul all Inclusive a few times before so we knew what to expect, we arrived at 12noon to a lovely receptionist, after giving her our details including our bank card details which is a requirement now by most hotels she gave us our room key which is strapped to your wrist, it was a pool view room which was a bit of a surprise you normally pay extra for these rooms because you get the sun for most of the day, the park view rooms at the back though are good there is more to look at and you get the late afternoon sun which is nice, we don't mind where we are at this hotel, but it was pool view room this time on the 5th floor, the room was spotlessly clean, someone had worked had to get it nice for the next guest (us), after dumping the cases there it was downstairs for a nice glass of cold Amstel beer, and to meet our two Benidorm friends who arrived the day before us! Soon it was time for our first meal and a bottle of white wine that was a lovely meal, all was well, we soon settled in to enjoy our holiday. The bar staff worked so hard to keep everybody's drinks flowing, the food on our first week was very good and well presented, the evening entertainment we had seen most of the acts before as most people have who travel to Benidorm many times, the top entertainer was Pablo Bloom whose act is always the same but he is still a very funny person but as he said if you have seen my show before then it's the same old sh...! The first week was really good at the Hotel, the second week was hell I was taken ill with stomach sickness, there was a problem here before we had arrived but I thought that it had gone but no there were other people ill too, our friends were ill as well it was not looking good, after a couple of days my wife was very ill in all we lost four days of our holiday, we took all sorts of precautions to avoid this happening but we still got it in the end, the management knew there had been a problem and so did the Jet 2 rep but I was told they had already said there is not a problem, we were both really ill our friends got us some salt drinks from outside the hotel and that helped, after this when we finally felt ok we was really carful on what we ate at the restaurant in fact we ate very little again! On the second week we went in the restaurant at 8-15pm on a Tuesday evening and there was only 8 people in there, it was the worst display of food I have ever seen at the Agua Azul that was the reason the restaurant was empty! It was clear they had a few problems, we was so glad we we did not go for longer than two weeks. The snack bar food was ok, but the chicken nuggets were not nice at all. All the drinks and cocktails from the bar were good so be careful some were very strong, all the wines were good, so was the beer! but we still had to be careful what we ate here. The Hotel must sort these problems out if they want us to return. I forgot to mention our rooms were always cleaned by such hard working maids, well done!"
