Leonardo Hotel San Sebastian

"I had booked a room with a DOUBLE bed and was not told this would NOT be possible. I am staying here with my partner , we would not have booked the hotel AT ALL if we were advised this would have not been possible and we have a room with two single beds. After telling the receptionist as soon as we got to the room, she advised it would be sorted in the morning. Low and behold, it WAS NOT sorted (not surprised) and when advising the receptionist, an apology was barely offered. I was then told it would HOPEFULLY be sorted for my final evening. What kind of customer service is that ? Extremely poor. This is not honest and a deceitful practice. The breakfast is also not great for the price."

"A very comfortable stay once we got over the size of the double bedroom as it’s quite small so not much moving space around the bed. Very clean, usb charging points in the room, helpful and lovely staff in every role, gorgeous roof terrace bar and pool. Food was good especially the pintxos at the bar. Very nice bar and lounge area- though bar closed at 11pm so not ideal for a nightcap! Perfect location due to a bus stop right outside the main entrance where you can take a bus to the town. This is every 15 minutes and cheap! Good sized secure car parking but you have to pay for this about 15€ a day. Down side is just that the hotel lacked attention to detail in the room- no slippers provided, no shower caps, no safe. Would say it is over priced but we definitely enjoyed our stay and loved San Sebastián."

"High points: parking is right next door. The walk into SS is a good bit of exercise but not too taxing. The (small) pool is a nice touch. Pinxtos at the bar all day. Quiet, save for a cute little patisserie and mini market up the road. Low points: the layout of our room was really annoying. Barely any space in three bed family room, just three beds next to each other and room for one person to shuffle along the end of them. Weird transparent glass box containing the shower in the middle of the room and similar ‘open plan’ basin next to it. Only the toilet enclosed. Not sure what they were trying to achieve but didn’t work."
