"We booked this hotel last minute, originally requesting a triple room. We later asked to change to two double rooms for four guests. The front desk told us no doubles were available, only a junior suite, which we accepted. Then we were abruptly told the suite wasn’t available either.
When we arrived at the hotel at midnight, exhausted and with no alternatives, we were told we now had to pay for three rooms: two doubles (which we were told didn’t exist minutes earlier) and the original triple, which we were told was non-refundable. It felt like a complete bait and-switch. With no choice, we were forced to agree.
Then it got worse.
The night clerk gave us a key to a room that was already occupied. We walked in on another guest sleeping in the bed. That’s not just poor service, it’s a massive violation of safety and privacy.
Even more alarming, we discovered that the electronic keycards open doors regardless of whether the deadbolt is on. We heard housekeeping walk into an occupied room across the hall, twice. This is a major security issue. Guests are not safe while sleeping.
As for basic service? Abysmal.
We paid for breakfast, but when we tried to bring a few pastries and fruit back to our sleeping teens, staff refused, informing us no plates were allowed, and they offered no to-go containers, just napkins or paper cups. Completely unreasonable.
When we asked for extra towels, we were told we had to go to the front desk ourselves. Worse: when our kids requested fresh towels, they were refused unless they brought the dirty ones down first. This is not how hospitality works.
To make matters worse, the vent in our room rattled loudly throughout the night, making it incredibly difficult to sleep. And the rain head shower leaked constantly, all six nights we were there. Even after hotel staff supposedly looked at it. Just more evidence of the hotel’s complete lack of attention to guest comfort or maintenance.
To be clear: the rooms are aesthetically fine (though tiny), and the breakfast is a nice setup, but none of that matters when the customer service is negligent, dismissive, and downright UNSAFE!
Avoid this hotel at all costs if safety and service are not optional for you. This hotel and the hotel team fail on both fronts!"
