ibis Bilbao Barakaldo

"The worst Ibis experience ever - Avoid at all cost! First, be careful not to mix these Ibis with the ones in the center. These Ibis and Ibis Budget are in a remote area, an industrial area with shops like Ikea etc... not in Bilbao. Staying currently there. Staff is extremely rude (I have never seen a hotel desk staff that don't speak English...). Wr complained because the room was very cold and they said it's still in Summer mode (10th october....) and that they don't know when the Winter mode begins. The breakfast is very limited and they charge for the coffee if not instant coffee. Really disappointing for a Ibis hotel. Accord should remove their licence."

"Pros. - trendy and colourful lobby - superb service team - spacious room as IBIS chain - great breakfast with hot and cold food, the tortillas was the best - EV charge(60kw) on site, which is excellent for travelling cross with EV Cons. - again the coffee machine doesn’t make the great coffee"

"I stayed in IBIS BATAKALDO on 22 March 2025. I previously stayed in many IBIS hotels throughout Europe, always had good reports. But this time the price I had to pay was €135 (€120 SINGLE +€15 for my dog) - EXHORBITANT for a one star hotel !! Food was dreadful. Wasnt even possible to get a plate of french fries - Only Pizza available. I also asked for directions as I was driving from Malaga area. I was given exact street dress, BUT NOT AUTOROUTE EXIT. It meant my Google maps took me through the streets, which made it very difficult to find the hotel."
