Hotel SB Win

"The worst experince i"ve ever had. I"ve made a reservation via booking with free cancelation upon 2 days before arrive and they tried to withdraw money from my card with 26 days before arrival. After multiple failed retries, they cancelled my reservation with no mention. It is not admisible to make something like this with less than 15 days before arrival. I do not recomand them."

"The hotel is modern and is around a 20 minute walk from the nearest train station. That's not too bad a walk - until you have spent a day walking round Barcelona and have that to face when you return. If it was a hotel in Bangkok for example you would probably get a free tuk tuk ride to and from the station. This hotel should consider something similar to broaden its appeal. We checked in smoothly and were given a room on the 6th floor near the pool. We got the lift up and opened the dor. We were nearly knocked back by the heat- it was stifling. It is south facing and the staff had not drawn the curtains during the day. The window was large with a window seat and was a fixed unit. The air con was not on. We switched it on but it just produced a pathetic trickle of coolish air. We rang reception and they sent up an employee who fiddled with the controls and said it was now working properly. It wasn't. So we spent a very uncomfortable night. In the morning we went to reception to ask that it be operating properly by the time we returned. When we got back that evening it was working to an acceptable level. No apology from the hotel. It was a small room- about the size of a cabin on a cruise ship. The bed was comfy. The TV had limited English language channels. There was tea/coffee- but the milk was not replaced on day 2. There was no information in the room about the hotel and its facilities (such as the restaurant menu, breakfast buffet, snack bar, poolside bar- although we saw no evidence of a bar when we visited the pool, shared TV lounge) nor about the local area- sights, transport, restaurants and cafes). We had one evening meal at the restaurant. It was fully booked so we ate at the bar. The meal was very nice but the menu very limited so only had one meal there. There is a café opposite so we had breakfast there. On the day we checked out we left a bottle of prosecco in the room fridge. We left out luggage at the hotel and went into Barcelona. When we got back to collect our luggage that would have been the opportunity for reception to say" We found this bottle of prosecco in your room." That did not happen. So for all these negative reasons we would not return."

"Hotel is very to close to the Barcelona FC stadium with a nice cafe and two grocery stores close by. There is on sight parking for a fee (around 20 Euros) although the spaces were limited and the spots were small; free street parking is also located behind the building. The rooms were clean, beds were fine. Our room had a bathtub, a mini fridge and slept three comfortably. The room felt safe although, they require you to use your room card to access the elevators, but for two nights the stairwell door was wide open on the back side of the building, we were able to get to our rooms with no cards/elevator. The rooms do not have peep holes or safety swing locks on the doors."
