"Excellent location. Clean, comfortable hotel. Enormous comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, especially those on the reception desk. Breakfast was fresh and enjoyable. If visiting Barcelona again we would definitely stay here."

"We had a horrible experience at Catalonia Avinyó on September 9, 2026. While we were out exploring the city, someone entered our locked room and stole two very expensive luxury lipsticks (Dior and Tom Ford). Only hotel employees had access to the room during this time. When we discovered the missing items and confronted the staff, the hotel management completely stonewalled us. Instead of helping or launching a proper investigation, the head of staff kept repeating that it was impossible and that they fully trust their team. They flatly refused to check the electronic key-card logs for our door, basically trying to make us feel like we lost the items ourselves.Their complete lack of empathy and refusal to take any responsibility is disgusting. We refused to let this go and forced them to provide the official government complaint form (Hoja de Reclamaciones), which we have now signed and registered.Please be very careful if you choose to stay here. Your belongings are not safe in this hotel, and if something goes missing, the management will protect their dishonest staff instead of helping paying guests. To make matters worse, the digital safe inside our room was broken and didn't work at all, so we had absolutely no way to lock our valuables away. The hotel failed to provide basic securityTerrible security and zero customer service!"
