"my partner and I came to dalia ramblas for 3 nights, it was my partner’s birthday the second day we were there.
we checked in at 2pm and were given a set of keys for our room door, however the keys wouldn’t work so after having to go up and down twice the receptionist said he’d look into it and the cleaner had to let us in. we had been at sonar festival prior to arriving, so we were extremely tired and just wanted to watch some tv and sleep before dinner, but they didn’t fix the door for two hours and we didn’t want to fall asleep as we knew they were going to knock, so we just sat and waited tired with nothing to do.
during this time we could not connect to the wifi to get the tv to work in our room (406) as apparently the internet doesn’t reach far enough. the receptionist said they would restart the routers and get it working, but we came back from dinner later on to find it still wasn’t working (the connection stopped in the hallway outside), and were told we could switch rooms the next day. so, the first night, when we wanted to watch tv we had to on a phone.
the second day we were told we could switch rooms, however we needed to check out at 11am and check back in at 2pm, meaning we didn’t have access to a room for 3 hours and had to be out while they stored our luggage. when we checked back in, the room we had been given was much nicer and the internet worked, which was a positive.
we thought the drama was over, but on the final night there was a powercut throughout the entire hotel, which is no fault of the hotel of course, however it stopped our phones from charging and we had to travel back to london the next day with low battery.
all in all, it was not an enjoyable experience and we have emailed to request some sort of refund to compensate us for our trouble, as that stay was not worth the money, but we haven’t received any replies."
