Alexandre Hotel Fira Congress Barcelona

"Not really a 4 star hotel. It’s an odd setup. The reception looks like it’s stuck in corner of a corridor. Rooms feel like they are in a prefabricated portacabin. Clean but not quite. This is a transit hotel for business workers. The breakfast is not good. The cooked option looks good but unfortunately is stone cold on the plate. We got back to the hotel after being out for the night and the bar was closed at midnight."

"Got an Uber from the airport to hotel. Was only a 15 minute drive. Area looks very run down. Everywhere around it was a massive building site. Hotel is very close to the metro with easy access to the main city. Has local shops and a mall called Gran Via in a 5 minute walking distance. We arrived at 1pm but check in wasn’t until 3pm. Went to ask to leave the suitcases at reception until check in but they informed us we could already go to our room. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Throughout the stay, all staff were kind. Breakfast buffet was actually really tasty. Had a range of food from cooked breakfast items, bread, mini baguettes, selection of cheese, fruit, yogurt, granola, cereals, coffee machine and pastries. They were constantly being topped up. Pool isn’t overly big. It has 6-7 loungers that were always taken and pool was very cold. Luckily we didn’t go for a relaxing holiday in the pool so that didn’t bother us. 100% would return to the hotel and can’t fault our stay."

"The rooms and beds were really comfortable and it was nice and quiet. However the design of the bathrooms are not great. Everything is out in the open. There’s a huge lack of privacy and if you’re travelling with friends or family, it’s pretty awkward at times! Breakfast was also really good!"
