Acta Splendid

"ACTA hotels are always a comfortable place to stay. The Splendid is in a perfect location in the center without being in the chaos, rooms of the right size, top-notch cleanliness, very professional and courteous receptionists. I appreciated the relaxation lounge where you can help yourself to a "Nespresso" coffee and a little treat when you return in the afternoon. Comfortable beds. Perfect bathroom, the only flaw is the lack of a toilet brush, but the presence of a bidet is fantastic. The decor in the common areas is delightful. The decor of the adequately sized room is business-like. What can I say, highly recommended, a three-star hotel that deserves 4. We will definitely return and definitely ACTA forever."

"Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our stay and would not return. The standard double room was one of the smallest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. It was so cramped that we couldn’t even put our suitcases down without having to stand them up or step around them. Thankfully, we were moved to another room with two single beds, which was noticeably larger and much more comfortable. So if your booking the standard room, book the the two singles as the room is much bigger. The shower in our first room was also very dirty and had a significant amount of mould. The beds were comfortable though Unfortunately, the biggest issue for us was the attitude of some of the breakfast staff. On our first morning, my mum had paid for and was having breakfast while I came down to ask for some milk to have with the tea and coffee in our room, as no milk had been provided. I was told no and that I would have to pay for it. After my mum explained the situation, they eventually gave me some. The following morning, I politely asked another staff member for some milk with my coffee. She became extremely upset and started yelling at me, then involved the front desk staff member and told me that they did not have to provide milk. I explained that the hotel provides complimentary coffee in the rooms and has a coffee machine available to guests during the day, but there were no milk portions available. She then told me to get out while shouting at me. The front desk staff member later apologised to me on her behalf, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the way we were treated left a very bad impression. We have travelled extensively and this was one of the rudest experiences we have had with hotel staff. For this reason, we would not stay here again."

"Three stars but it would deserve 4 for the exceptional breakfast and for the care and space of the rooms. Excellent experience I recommend it!!!"
