City Hotel Ljubljana

"The City Hotel is very good. We had a lovely room with a small sitting area I was able to do my morning yoga without disturbing my husband. Facilities in the room were good. The staff in the reception area and the restaurant were helpful and polite and made us feel welcome. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices including local produce which were really nice. We were able to leave our bags on arrival as we were too early for the room. Location was excellent everywhere was within easy walking distance."

"We stayed for 2 nights at this Hotel. We called the hotel the previous day and requested for an early check in. We were told the room will be ready around 1pm. However when we arrived at the hotel at 2pm the girl at the reception said we can only check in at 3pm as the room was not ready. We were seated in the lobby. At around 2.30pm when I approached another lady at the reception she immediately checked us in. It was disappointing that the girl we approached initially didnt even bother to check any details but simply turned us down saying check in is at 3pm and the room was not ready. She could clearly see we were waiting in the lobby and didnt even let us know when the room was ready. Apart from the initial check in which was disappointing overall a good hotel, clean room in a location close to public transport shops and restaurants. We had dinner at the hotel 1 night. Ordered Pizza which was absolutely terrible. Breakfast spread was good with cold and hot items. Staff attentive. Housekeeping efficient. During our travel in Europe we could say this was the best comfy bed and pillows we have had including in 5 star hotels we have stayed. Perfect bed for a good night of sleep."
