Four-star stay that feels like home

The four-star Ahotel Hotel Ljubljana has the feel of a big family home. Not only are the staff warm and welcoming, but the rooms are exceptionally comfy, and little ones are catered for with outdoor play equipment, high chairs, and a children’s menu. For an extra homely touch, packed lunches can be made for you, too.

Cycling is a great way to explore the city, and bikes can be hired from the front desk – it takes around 15 minutes or so to get into the centre on two wheels (or eight minutes by taxi). Spacious and air-conditioned, each room has Wi-Fi and satellite TV.

Thanks to the daily buffet breakfast, mornings start with the sweet smell of fresh pastries and coffee. If you’re in no rush to get out, you can browse the internet and the day’s papers at the hotel’s 24/7 bar, which serves hot drinks and snacks. Later in the day, if the sun’s shining, you can enjoy beers, wines, and light bites on the cosy outdoor terrace.
