"Stayed here for the first 3 nights on our 2 week trip around Portugal. Superb location, Very nicely appointed hotel - staff superb - properly trained 5-star staff, always helpful, gave useful information and volunteered to make arrangements. Sadly the room we got on our first night was frankly unacceptable for a hotel of this class - tiny and at the back and despite being on 7th floor had street running just below which got noisy early. After complaining were upgraded to really nice room on the courtyard for the last two night. Dread to think what the rate for this room was as the original was pretty expensive anyway"

"We booked upper floor room and the view was worth it. Facing the courtyard so great sleep quality as quiet. The shower was excellent and the mattress extremely comfortable. The location of the hotel is spot on. The service was good but the hotel we found was understaffed for such a busy hotel. Breakfast room is beautiful and the breakfast is good just the coffee underwhelming. The bar/lounge is bit small and not in the perfect place we ended up sitting often by the door which is constantly openning to outside. Did not use the spa as rather pricey. However overall l would highly recommend this hotel for location and room comfort. "
