"We loved this hotel! The location is perfect, the rooms are fabulous- ours looked over the square and had a balcony. We enjoyed joining in with the talented buskers/musicians every night! The breakfast was top notch and plentiful. Even better though are all the staff! A fabulous, friendly and professional team! We cannot wait to recommend to friends. Thank you!"

"Stopped here for 3 nights in June. The hotel was chosen for its central location and Tripadvisor rating. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable with a good breakfast however be prepared for a noisy stay. The hotel is surrounded by bars and restaurants which attract talented buskers providing a great vibe and atmosphere in the late afternoon and early evening but the noise from customers cheering the buskers on after 11pm is not great. It can be heard loudly from inside the hotel and can disturb sleep if you have an early start it maybe have little ones trying to sleep"

"We chose this hotel for our five-day Porto vacation based on the wonderful reviews posted on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. The location is extremely convenient - you can easily walk to and from the Sao Bento train station, river front, Gaia, and tour meeting points with no need for a car or taxi. The breakfasts are outstanding, and the service throughout the hotel was professional and friendly. The reviews, however, about the loud street music are true - it drove my husband crazy by hour three, although it stops by 10pm/22:00. On the evenings that we came in late, it didn't matter. I rather enjoyed it up to a point, to each his own, but it is important to be able to rest after touring, especially in this hotel's beautiful and well-appointed rooms. We loved everything else about this outstanding hotel and highly recommend it. A true gem."
