Descobertas Boutique Hotel

"Beautiful little hotel, perfect location in the Ribeira district and the Douro right around the corner, you can't get better. Nice room with everything you need. The breakfast was well catered!"

"This is a nice hotel. Location at first l thought abit odd but turns out it was excellent for seeing Porta. Room was spacious and clean and had all the modern conveinces one would expect. It was rreally nice going to the pool after a day sight seeing. The pool is really a large plunge pool and not that deep but it was nice to cool down in. There is a small bar there where you can order beer/wine etc so that was a nice touch. Breakfast was included and although it was no match for the offerings from larger hotels was quite adequate."

"We stayed in the hotel Discovery for one night. Although the hotel is titled as a boutique hotel, the same does not correspond to reality. The hotel is well located a few steps from Ribeira in Porto. Our experience was very bad because the photos that are as reference of the hotel, reception, rooms and breakfast room do not correspond to reality. These are old photos and breakfast offers no variety. The hotel is in urgent need of a more adequate renovation and lighting. The hotel is dark which makes the atmosphere even more somber and sad. The positive highlight was the staff who served us professionally and attentively. I do not recommend."
