Altis Porto

"WOW, we just had the most amazing experience at the Altis Porto. Upon arrival the door was held for us and a glass of port poured for me at check in. Every single staff member we encountered was incredibly welcoming, professional and polite. Our room was beautiful, the bed was huge and so comfortable and all the facilities were perfect - even a yoga mat & nespresso machine! The room was cleaned everyday to an extremely high standard and my pyjamas were folded up every day which was such a nice touch. One thing you can’t miss is the rooftop bar and pool. The views of the river from the pool are outstanding and I HIGHLY recommend a post swim club sandwich from the bar. The spa was also extremely clean and refreshing including a sauna, steam room, pool and hot tub. We had breakfast in the restaurant on one of our mornings and I can honestly say it is excellent value for money- a really high quality selection of foods on the buffet. The hotel is in a great location, only a 10-15 minute walk from many restaurants and bars. We had such a fabulous time and wouldnt stay anywhere else in Porto if we visited again."

"Very good luxury hotel. Modern and well equipped rooms, let down by very poor wifi. Good staff that were helpful and friendly. Lack of restaurant options is not ideal. Location although in the city is a bit far from most of the action in the city."

"Modern and smart hotel, great location and lovely staff. The breakfasts are wonderful, huge choice and delicious coffee. The rooftop pool and bar was small but with perfect views over the river. Cocktails nice too"
