"DO NOT STAY HERE. Checked in on August 2, 2025 — absolutely NO WARNING that there’s a NIGHTCLUB operating right next to the room. The walls were shaking, the furniture was literally vibrating. It was IMPOSSIBLE TO SLEEP. This is not just “city noise” — this is a full-on disco blasting through the walls. I paid in cash — no receipt was given until I insisted. The receipt I finally got had the wrong date. When I complained, staff REFUSED any refund or solution. They literally said they are “not obligated” to inform guests about the club next door. This is MISLEADING and ABUSIVE. You pay for rest — you get insomnia and a private rave through the wall. Avoid unless you plan to dance in your bed instead of sleep."

"Brilliant little 2 star hotel in the heart of the city. The staff were extremely friendly and on check in, they gave us a map and showed us a walk to do ourselves to ensure we saw all the sights. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on it. Air con worked super well. The shower was nice. Bed comfy. WiFi excellent."

"My two teenage children, wife and I stayed at the Porto Rico for theee nights. It was cheap and in a great position however you do get what you pay for . The shower drain overflowed, the toilet seat kept falling off, the bathroom door wouldnt slide and the shower nozzle was broken. The front desk staff were rude and arrogant. In fact that were absolutely disgraceful. you are not allowed to leave the premises with your key ( must leave at front desk) and when you return you have to wait until they are good and ready to give your key back, and that’s if you can find them. I would not recommend anyone stay here, no matter what the price is. "
