"Really nice little hotel in a lovely little town. We stayed one night and were very happy with the service and staff. Late check in instructions were provided before we arrived which made it very easy. Good breakfast in the morning. We were also able to stow our luggage after check out until our ride was due to arrive. Staff are very helpful and pleasant."

"Modern hotel with lovely and immaculate room. Very warm staff. Absolutely recommended for late arrivals. There are phone numbers for the night watchman on the door to the hotel, and he arrived within a couple of minutes. With only cabin baggage, and a pre-booked taxi, we were in our room literally half an hour after our plane landed. Great shower with luxurious soap. The hotel is less than a 10-minute walk to the bus station, for the Sao Lourenco peninsula hike (and elsewhere). Our car hire company (RentX) picked us up from the hotel seamlessly, a couple of days later, so we didn't have to go back to the airport to collect the car for touring the rest of the island. This hotel is comfortable enough to stay longer and use it as a base for day trips. With a car, this hotel is a good option for an easy relaxed breakfast and then scuba diving in the afternoon in Garajau. There are also good dives to be had in Machico and the White Waters is a far quieter, more relaxing hotel than where the diving is based."

"We received a friendly welcome once we found the hotel as it was difficult to see the hotel name on the façade. The common areas are well maintained but our bedroom and bathroom were in need of urgent upgrade. However, the hotel is well located, close to the ocean front, to a number of restaurants, and minutes from the airport. The friendly and helpful staff made our stay more acceptable."
