Live the high life in Madeira

Fancy being treated like royalty on your next Funchal getaway?  Look no further than The Reserve, a high-class hotel-within-a-hotel tucked away in Savoy Palace.

As the name suggests, days here are usually of the reserved variety. It's all about lounging by the exclusive rooftop pool, complete with sweeping sea views, and pampering yourself in the serene spa. And you'll have access to all the facilities of Savoy Palace, too

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

Hotel highlights

Pool with a view? Don't mind if we do. The rooftop pool – it’s located on the 17th floor – is a real stunner and has a neighbouring Jacuzzi, too, if you prefer a touch of bubbly bliss. This is also the ideal place to indulge in a bit of sunbathing thanks to the swanky solarium.

And better yet, no Savoy Palace guests allowed, this one is strictly for The Reserve. And if even that's not exclusive enough for you, why not plump for a suite with a pool and indulge in a private morning dip – complete with harbour view, of course.

Overlooking the deep blue in one direction, and Funchal's towering mountains in the other, Jacaranda Club has certainly hit the panoramic jackpot. Bountiful breakfast spreads are laid on each morning, while the all-day menu is sure to have something that'll satisfy your cravings.

Fancy the finest Asian cuisine for dinner? On the hotel’s 16th floor, you’ll find a mouthwatering array of Japanese dishes innovatively combined with the very best flavours and techniques from around the world. Pair your meal with a fine wine or a cocktail with a far-eastern twist and send your senses into overdrive.

One of the biggest draws at The Reserve is the top-notch service. Your very own personal assistant will be just a WhatsApp message away during your stay. Whether it's booking a sushi workshop at the hotel, getting your reservation sorted at Nikkei for dinner, or seeking sightseeing tips, prepare to be treated like royalty.

Other amazing experiences include the delicious elegance of an afternoon tea, a wine-tasting session that’s guided by a master sommelier or even a romantic dinner for two in the privacy of your own suite. And the best thing?  All this and more’s just a simple WhatsApp message away.

  1. Lucky Reserve guests also get access to all the other fab facilities of Savoy Palace. That means you’ll be clinking champagne glasses, dining at a further six restaurants, or chilling out by the main pool before you know it.
  2. At least one visit to Laurea Spa’s thermal area is an absolute must. It’s exclusively for guests aged 16+ and had an ice fountain, hot tub, and steam room to help revive your mind, body, and soul.
  3. Head to the 16th floor for a fine-dining experience that’ll leave you – both literally and figuratively – high in the sky. Rustic ingredients are given centre stage, but elevated to works of art using advanced cooking techniques.
