"Overall great accommodation but some glitches with description of property. We booked this apartment as it was in downtown Funchal for the New Year’s Eve fireworks. It was for our family of four adults, ourselves,our daughter and her boyfriend. it was listed as a one bedroom apartment, however on arrival it was actually one large studio apartment with an archway leading from the kitchen living area to the main sleeping area. This was not suitable to us as there was no privacy we did contact the travel company, but there was no alternative available. This is our fifth time to Madeira and if we wanted to go just as a couple for a short break, we would stay in this apartment again but I would suggest anyone wanting a true one bedroom apartment with a separate sleeping area, or staying for longer than a week, look elsewhere. The standard of the apartment was very good and the cleaning was excellent with regular bedding and towel changes and daily cleaning service , even on New Year’s Day. The location for the old town was great with loads of restaurants and cafés nearby. The washing machine came in handy, especially after wet hikes, and there is a large supermarket just across the road."

"We have a timeshare studio at the very front of the Residence on the first floor, with an excellent sea view. We’ve had it for many years but have been back this year for the first time in a long time. The standards as always are tremendous, the food and facilities are great and the climate is wonderful. The flower festival was still on while we were there and proved very colourful. An excellent visit spoilt only by the excessive queues in the non-EU lane at the airport in Madeira on our return., and being shepherded into our flight gate with the other 200+ Jet2 passengers where there were only about 20 seats which meant standing for about 45 minutes. Great shame because there was no trouble on arrival and certainly no bother at Bristol either out or in. Brexit!"

"Situated on a pedestrianised street in Funchal, the apartment could not have a better location. The Old Town with its narrow cobbled streets, cable cars, farmers' market and lots of little restaurants is five minutes walk away. The large Pingo Doce supermarket is literally across the street. Turn left on leaving and a short walk brings you to the Cathedral area and the Marina. The apartment was well maintained and kept spotless by the cleaning ladies (special mention to Zita). Breakfast, consisting of ham, cheese, fruit juice, butter, jam, breadrolls etc was hung on the doorknob each morning. We loved the apartment, especially the location, and, having stayed for 3 weeks, would stay again in a heartbeat. Only downside was the lack of a toaster! That aside, we would recommend these apartments without reservation. "
