Alto Lido Hotel

"Lovely hotel in a pleasant area. We were on the 4th floor facing the road so had a fairly decent view of the sea. We stayed b&b in a one bedroom apartment which was actually 2 separate rooms with a connecting door. Breakfast was fairly basic so didn’t go down every day but as we usually go self-catering it was not a priority. The outdoor pool area was clean and well maintained, the pool bar was reasonably priced with a good little menu and the pool itself was very clean. Plenty of sun loungers both here & on the 5th floor terrace. The indoor pool looked nice too but didn’t use it. Ideal location for us about a 30 - 40 minute walk into town but plenty of buses available. Several restaurants nearby and also 2 in the hotel itself as well as a lounge bar. Found reception staff to be pleasant & efficient. Hope to return in the future"

"Lovely, very clean, modern hotel. Our room had a balcony with sea views although we also enjoyed using the terrace on floor 5. Staff were very helpful and the buffet breakfast very nice. Evening entertainment was various singers but the best night was the Folklore dancers, very entertaining. Location of the hotel was ideal for us. Plenty of directions for walks and a complimentary bus if needed. There was also plenty of variety of restaurants within easy walking distance. Can't fault it and are already talking about returning next year."

"Nice hotel located about a 30 minute walk from the centre (of sorts!). Rooms are basic but clean and modern. Breakfast is buffet style with a range of options although it can get a little crowded. Small things let it down a bit - accessing the spa was difficult as staff never seemed to be around to enable you to book and when you did get in there are no water facilities, lift space for such a big hotel is limited and issue exacerbated by access via the stairs being locked. Overall a nice hotel that could do with a few small changes. Oh and yes the lack of spoons (or just anything to stir your tea) was weird....."
