Quinta Dos Lobos Boutique Hotel - Art & Nature Experience

"This hotel is running a fraudulent scam. They encourage people to use their parking, which is free if you purchase food / drink at the restaurant (min €5 per head) and they promise to provide a free transfer to the Palace. But once you have parked and paid for food / drink they then inform you that the transfer is not included, and charge €25 per head! By this stage you are committed. We refused to pay and left, after demanding our money back. But they had robbed us of several hours of our afternoon. Don’t fall for this."

"At first, the experience seemed promising — the restaurant has potential, and the location is convenient, especially with the discounted parking offer. Unfortunately, the evening quickly turned into a disappointment. The head waiter (or the waiter in charge that night) seemed convinced he knew better than his guests what they should order. What initially came across as friendly recommendations soon revealed itself to be nothing more than aggressive, profit-driven upselling. It felt uncomfortable and manipulative. In the end, we ended up with things we didn’t really want — and ironically, some of those items never even arrived because the service was painfully slow and uncoordinated. As we walked through the restaurant, it became clear that this tactic was being used on every table: everyone seemed to have the exact same “recommended” add-ons, which only reinforced the feeling of being taken advantage of. The food itself was rather average — nothing terrible, but nothing memorable either. It’s frustrating because this place could be so much better. Sadly, the overly pushy approach and lackluster service really drag the whole experience down."
