Tivoli Oriente

"This was a fantastic hotel for us. For the price, it can't be beat for service, room quality, and especially location. Being right next to the Lisbon Oriente train station/subway terminal means travelling to and from the hotel was a breeze for us."

"The hotel is located in the new part of the city, so don't expect a lot of sightseeing aroung. It is however right next to a train/bus and subway station, so incredibly well communicated with the rest of town. The lobby area is very welcoming, the staff are kind and professional. The rooms are various size, so all depends on what you've booked, but the beds are comfortable and bed linnen is of good quality. The bathroom is just the right size, however the issue that we've notices was the ventilation, which did not keep up with the steam, so therefore the room felt pretty damp, even though we had the A/C on all the time. There is a large selection of foods for breakfast, with live cooking area, where you can have a dedicated order made. Otherwise nice cheeses, fresh fruit, breads and cakes are enough to keep everyone happy. Our room was overlooking the train station, so not he most picteresque, however it didn't bother us and we could not hear much noise. There's also a pool and sauna, but the pool is rather dates, has some damages to the surroundings and doesn't seem very well maintained (just my impression). The sauna is super tiny, so you must be lucky to be on your own to enjoy it. The hotel has a gorgeous sky bar and couple other restaurants- one italian, and one snack bar. The sky bar offers stunnign veiws of Lisbon, serves delicious drinks and lovely sushi. I would recommend the hotel for a short city break."
