Everything from the rooms to the restaurant are decked out in an eclectic mix of décor that blends modern touches with classic elements to give the place a lovely, boutique feel. 

If you can drag yourself away from the chic interiors, exploring will be a cinch thanks to nearby public transport links. The tram is five minutes’ walk away, while the nearest bus stop is about half that. For museums, impressive architecture, and the city’s cathedral, head towards Alfama, which’ll take about 20 minutes by bus. For lively nightlife, meanwhile, Bairro Alto is the place to be, and it’ll take about 25 minutes to walk there from the hotel. 

Grab a bite to eat in town – where there’s no shortage of great bars, cafés, and restaurants – or head back to base and check out the onsite restaurant. Drinks are doled out in the Five O’Clock Bar, but don’t let the name fool you, this place serves sophisticated tipples till late.
