The Editory Riverside Santa Apolonia Hotel

"I had the pleasure of staying at The Editory Riverside Hotel twice during my Portugal trip — before and after my visit to Porto — and both stays were exceptional. I would happily stay here again on my next trip to Lisbon. The location is perfect, right beside — and connected to — Santa Apolónia Station, making it incredibly convenient for trains, the metro, and exploring the city. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, and the riverside setting is a wonderful bonus. I looked forward to waking up every morning to a perfect sunrise over the Tagus River. Watching the ships docked in port while enjoying the river view was one of my favorite parts of my stay. What truly sets this hotel apart is its amazing team, starting with the front desk staff. João was incredibly helpful during my first stay, helping me arrange a tour to Sintra and Cascais, offering great local advice, and assisting me with my luggage when I left for the airport. Fábio went above and beyond by making sure I could stay in the same room when I returned from Porto, which I really appreciated. Thank you as well to Filipa and the rest of the front desk team — including the lovely lady whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch — for always greeting me with a smile and making me feel welcome. A special thank you to Vinicius and Gustavo at the bar and breakfast service, Ana Sofia, the other wonderful lady serving breakfast whose name I unfortunately didn’t get, and the entire breakfast team. Whether I was enjoying a drink after a day of sightseeing or starting my morning with breakfast, everyone was consistently warm, friendly, attentive, and accommodating. I’d also like to thank Paulo and the other gentleman who always helped with my luggage. When I returned from Porto, my luggage was already waiting for me in my room — a thoughtful touch that made me feel truly welcomed back. A heartfelt thank you as well to the housekeeping team, who took such great care of my room every day. Everything was always spotless, comfortable, and welcoming, and I truly appreciated the care and attention they put into making each stay so enjoyable. Everyone I met was professional, accommodating, and genuinely friendly. After two stays, I truly felt like I was coming home each time I walked through the doors. Thank you to the entire team for making my visit to Lisbon so memorable. I can’t wait to return and will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Lisbon. 💜"

"As a solo traveler, I cannot say enough about the property - safe, beautiful, well maintained, quiet, clean. The members of the staff, were an absolute pleasure, helpful with providing suggestions, directions and even one night I had gone shopping , they offered to take my bags to my room so I can continue the night out. The arrival was very nice, the staff showed me to the restaurant for a complimentary drink while I waited for my room to be ready. The location is great too especially if taking the train, since it's less than a 1 minute walk from the station to the hotel"

"My wife and I just spent 6 days in a "junior suite" at the Editory Riverside. The hotel surpassed our expectations. While its in a historic building it feels very modern. Breakfasts were expansive and the staff were most helpful. A truly great way to start the day. Our room was spacious, quiet, well appointed; a pleasant place to rest and regroup between our city explorations. The Metro (subway) Blue Line has a station under the hotel and is only a few stops from the main downtown sights and the main train station. This turned out to be much quicker than cabs or tuck-tucks which get bottle-necked in Lisbon traffic. It's cheap and easy to use. If you want to see Lisbon but not be stuck in the densely packed tourist area this hotel is a great option."
