"Dear Sana Metropolitan Team, I just wanted to share how much we enjoyed our recent business trip to Lisbon, and especially our stay at your wonderful hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. Assistant Manager Mrs. Filomena greeted us with such warmth and care, explaining everything we needed to know and making us feel instantly at home. Our rooms were perfectly prepared with everything we could need—an iron, bottles of water, coffee amenities—and the thoughtful welcome touches, like fresh fruit, wine, and the delicious traditional “pastel de nata,” truly made us feel special. It is clear that Food & Beverage Manager Mr. Andre Goncalves leads an exceptional team. Every member of your staff we interacted with was attentive, polite, and genuinely helpful. We especially want to thank Paolo and Hugo in the restaurants, and Robert, Tiajo, and Pedro at the bars, for their outstanding service and friendliness. It’s obvious that Sana Metropolitan invests wholeheartedly in its people, and that dedication shows in every detail of our stay. Experiences like this make a trip unforgettable. "We are enjoying our last morning at this hotel. We have had a wonderful 72 hours in Lisbon. The hotel has been fabulous - making our room special for our 20th wedding anniversary. The hotel is spacious, quite and calm and the staff are attentive and make you feel welcome. Breakfast was super with a wide range suiting all dietary needs. Good location away for the hustle and bustle of the centre although all the sights are a short and cheap Uber or metro trip away. Thank you for a lovely stay. Feeling relaxed x"

"Having stayed at many hotels in different locations in Europe, the SANA Metropolitan Hotel has come up the best for many, many reasons. By taxi, conveniently only about ten minutes from the main Lisbon Airport. This hotel is placed conveniently located to access many of the sites of interest in Lisbon with transport and / or taxi in a moment. The standard - Definitely Four star, no less. A really good welcome from the Reception staff and always a porter there to help with luggage if wished. My room had a fabulous high up view, yes on the flight path to the Airport, but honestly the window glazing was very good, could hardly hear a thing - in fact I wanted to take a few photos of the planes flying past, but they were so quiet I kept missing the moment. Cleanliness, no question - the staff were there to clean your room, etc everyday if you wished. But equally you could hang the 'Do not disturb' sign on your door and know that you and your belongings were safe and would not be disturbed. My bed was huge and allowed me a really comfortable night's sleep. The food, both in the main restaurant and the bar gave a good range of choice and of course, the breakfast could not be faulted! The atmosphere changes slightly depending on when you stay there, sometimes busy but wonderfully calm and this recent time really vibrant. Just off the reception area is a gift shop with all your gift needs - a must! But the MOST IMPORTANT thing to note - the Staff Teams. Every member of staff - Domestic; Restaurant; Bar; Reception and Guest Service are to be commended on their dedication to their service. Yes, of course you can be left alone to have privacy, private meetings with friends, etc., but every member of staff gives you at least, a smile, a warm word or two - and if you have stayed there before, they show they have really good memories - all so welcome when you are a solo traveller!
