"We travelled as 2 friends to see Lisbon for a few days and chose the Lumen Hotel. We emailed the hotel before arriving as we had an early flight to see if there was any chance of an early check-in and when we arrived by about 9.30 am, we were checked in smoothly by Daniel, given lots of helpful information and a city map. Our room was available straight away, which we totally appreciated, so we headed upstairs with our luggage, unpacked a few things, requested some feather pillows and bathrobes and then headed out for a full day in Lisbon.
The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, very modern. Extremely comfortable beds, as we both slept like logs, though that could have been exhaustion playing a part too. We chose a city view, though not much of a view, it was quiet and there was not noise from the street, or from the in the hotel, or neighbouring rooms.
After a full day exploring the city in very hot temperatures, we returned to the hotel, changed into swimwear and headed up to the pool on the roof, where we relaxed for an hour in the sun and had some drinks from the bar.
Then showered, changed and back out for a dinner reservation and more exploring. We returned to the hotel about 9.45pm to watch the light show, which was excellent and then to sleep, as we had been on the go since about 3am that morning.
Breakfast the following morning was a buffet with plenty of choice and very nice, with a very smooth coffee for me and a cappuccino for my friend.
Another full day, tuktuk tours and more exploring, back to the hotel for an hour at the pool and back out for dinner and more exploring.
The hotel is a little out but we enjoy walking and with the amount of food that we tried, it was a good thing to walk it off. However, there is a Metro station very close and we also found that both Uber and Bolt were quick and cheap when we needed them.
All the staff at the hotel were amazing and could not do enough for us, they made the stay even better.
As we were then heading to beautiful Troia for a few days, they gave us advice about that area too and said when we came back to Lisbon for our final day before flying back to London that night, we were welcome to leave our luggage at the hotel whilst we saw some more of Lisbon.
Would 200% recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again as we would both love to visit Lisbon again and then see other different areas from there.
Unfortunately as we were a bit non-stop I did not take any photos of the rooms/hotel but it does look exactly like you see on their website."
