"I honestly don’t understand how this hotel has the ratings it does. My experience was the complete opposite.
At check-in, Fabio Almeida at the front desk told me I had to pay an extra €120 for my 8-year-old child, even though the room I booked clearly stated it accommodates three people. It made no sense—the room itself was around the same price—and when I questioned it, he became dismissive and unhelpful.
What shocked me most was his attitude. When I asked for his name and requested to speak to a manager, his exact words were: *“You can’t intimidate me by asking my name. Do whatever you want.”* I was genuinely taken aback. I told him I wasn’t trying to intimidate anyone—I had been misled by the hotel’s rating and just wanted to speak with a manager about the situation. His behavior was rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional.
Even worse, there was **no manager available**. I was told the manager, Carlos Langa, had already left (around 5pm), and staff couldn’t even tell me when he would be available. That is unacceptable when guests are dealing with disputes.
After being pressured, I paid the extra €120 but the room was not even prepared for three people:
* No beddings, no proper setup for the third guest , just one bed and nothing else
* No extra towels only for one person
* No additional toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, etc.) only for one person ,
* No water nothing at the room
On top of that, the overall condition of the hotel was poor:
* Dirty hallways and bathroom
* Shower not working properly
* Strong unpleasant smell at the entrance and in the rooms
This was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. Misleading listing, terrible service, no accountability, and completely unprofessional staff. This is nowhere near a 4-star hotel. even 0 star is too much.
