Hotel Convento do Salvador

"We stayed at this hotel in April a few weeks ago, and overall it was a really charming place—comfortable, quiet, and full of character. The mattress was a bit firm for our taste, and the pillows were somewhat flat. Unfortunately, the heating and air conditioning in our room didn’t seem to be working, which is why we’re giving it 4 stars instead of 5. That said, the staff truly made the experience stand out. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and eager to help. They answered all of our questions and offered great recommendations for local food and entertainment, which we really appreciated."

"We had a good experience and would stay again. The location was fantastic - within walking distance to many sights and restaurants. The rooms were nice and clean; however, a bit tight with the sofa bed opened. Not much room to put bags. Don't expect an early check-in. We had hoped we'd get our room early and that wasn't the case (understandable though)."

"We had a great long weekend staying here. The split level apartment was ideal for us. Everything was nicely designed & well thought out. It was clean comfortable & modern. The upstairs room had a lovely comfy large double bed, plenty of wardrobe space, safe, tv, desk & armchair. The view onto the courtyard was pleasant. The downstairs room had a sofa bed, mini fridge, storage cabinet & another tv. Bathroom was clean & modern with a nice powerful shower, towels were replaced daily. Check in/out was efficient & the reception staff were all very nice. The entrance is on a narrow cobbled street just off the main road, tricky to navigate on arrival, as apple maps was confused & directed us wrongly, there is a small sign but we missed it, we soon found our way around. Breakfast was simple but had everything to set you up for the day ahead. The location was good for us, plenty of restaurants in walking distance, a lovely square with bars & views over Lisbon just around the corner. Tram 28 stop nearby & the train station was a pleasant walk downhill through interesting narrow cobbled streets. Taxis on uber were cheap if you didn’t want to walk back up hill. We enjoyed walking to the centre & other sights of Lisbon. Bring good walking shoes & be prepared for the many hills of Lisbon. They were very happy to store our luggage on our last day after check out which ment we could have a full day out unencumbered before heading to the airport. Highly recommend & we would stay here again if we returned to Lisbon."
