Find out more about Lisbon City
The sun is almost always shining on the coastal capital of Portugal, which is why holidays to Lisbon City simply glitter with possibilities.
Famously set amongst seven hills, there are views aplenty to enjoy. And that includes those about town - the city is known for its thriving art scene, with major galleries and independent artists contributing to an artistic culture that spills out onto the streets, and even underground. Since the first Metro stations were built in the 1950s, the entire system has been decorated with colourful and eye-catching artwork. You'll also want to admire the astonishing scene of the Vasco da Gama Bridge, the longest bridge in Europe. So long in fact, that its engineers had to factor in the curvature of the Earth. However you experience Lisbon, it's one city that's bound to take your breath away.
