Fenicius Charme Hotel

"We stayed four nights at this hotel recently and we're surprised by this little gem in Intendente. This hotel was relatively newer than the others that we stayed in Portugal. We previously stayed in a Holiday Inn hotel and were impressed by the attention and care provided by the staff at reception and how the room were made to a higher standard. Hot as well as cold water available at the little bar on ground floor and refreshments offered at reception. Lots of eatery options and varieties in the immediate surroundings as well as a Lidll a few steps further up from the hotel. We highly recommend this hotel for it's price, services and strategic location very close to the Metro station."

"On our way to a wedding in Portugal , we decided to stop over One night in Lisbon. The location of the Fenicius and the positive reviews made it a natural choice. Big Mistake! It started with the access to the underground parking. Despite having a Small car, I had to maneuver several Times on the 45* access ramp if i wanted to save my rental deposit. I was then told there was a parking fee : 15€ . Once in the room, we realised that One access door to the balcony was broken . There was a paper slip on the desk indicating that there was a complimentary drink with our room… to be told at the front desk that a bottle of water had already been delivered (????)…. No coke or any other beverage was provided. I was invited to go and purchase my own drink in the store around the corner. The central location was no disapointment and there are great local restaurants around. The bathroom was clean and functional. The air conditioning was fully operative . However, the bed was no King Size and the mattress was as tired as we were. In the morning, a paying Breakfast was served in a room on the first floor and was quite disapointing: No fresh coffee , no fruit salad… but spanish pastries. Since I had some calls to make in the morning, I stayed in the room only to havé the manager show up at noon to tell me I had to vacate the room asap. In short, not a particularly welcoming place for a 160€ stay . I am sure to try a différent place next Time!"

"I was in Lisbon with my students for a school trip, and the experience at Fenicius was great! Rooms were clean and comfortable, The staff have been always kind and professional, in particular the manager of the breakfast service, who even celabrated the birthday of our student. So I recommend this hotel, also because is close to the town center and near to the subway connection."
