"I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves one. I booked Room 5, which faces the street. The soundproofing was so poor that sleeping was simply impossible. Every noise from outside could be heard as if the window were open. After I complained, I was shown another room near the pool. It was not an equivalent alternative. The room had a strong unpleasant smell, felt dark and neglected, and was far below the standard of the room I had booked. I could not reasonably be expected to spend the night there. With no acceptable solution available, I had no choice but to leave the hotel at around 11 p.m. and find another hotel in the middle of the night, at my own expense. What is most disappointing is not only the condition of the rooms, but the response afterwards. The hotel now claims they "offered an alternative," while ignoring the fact that the alternative was not remotely comparable or suitable. Offering an unacceptable room does not resolve the problem. If you value a quiet night's sleep and expect a hotel to take responsibility when it cannot provide the accommodation you booked, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere."

"Beautiful converted palace with luxurious rooms, delicious breakfast, kind and helpful staff. A short ride away from touristy areas, near great restaurants and quiet at night for a great sleep. Wish I could have stayed longer!"
