Exceptional Service

Corpo Santo superb!
"This was one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. I know that sounds like so many other hyperbolic reviews so I will explain with examples. The location is great, close to the river and in the heart of the old town. It faces a lovely square, across from an historic church, giving the entrance an open, bright and atmospheric feel. The staff were welcoming from the start and truly interested in making the stay the very best it could be. There is a beautiful display of traditional and delicious Portuguese cakes, pastries, and candies in the lobby with nice paper bags and serving pieces to help yourself for snacks at any time without making you feel the least bit guilty for filling a bag for later. A more limited selection is available on each of the 5 floors when you exit the elevator. There is a wonderful Concierge Ana who gives morning walking tours of the area with alternating itineraries such that over 2 consecutive mornings you can see much that the old town and adjacent neighborhoods have to offer. She is extremely personable and enthusiastic, clearly enjoying showing off her native Lisboa to tourists, both there for the first time or, as was the case with us, returning for a second visit. There was no charge for these 2 to 2 1/2 hour walks. She is a wonderful asset for this property. The room was amazing, we opted for a deluxe room with a cozy balcony that overlooked the square. The modern casement windows, when open, allowed for experiencing the sounds of the old town as it woke up while sipping a coffee or tea on the cozy window seats and, when closed, the room was 100% free of street noise, perfect for sleeping The bed was so comfortable and the sheets were the best quality, crisply pressed with high thread count. The pillow menu was a nice touch and we ordered extra feather pillows. Each evening there was a happy hour in the lobby with sangria or Portuguese gin and tonic during our 3-night stay. This was accompanied by freshly prepared tapas prepared by the very talented chef who also runs the hotel's restaurant. Although we decided to venture out for lunches and dinners, the included breakfasts were some of the very best we have had in hotels worldwide, with ala carte menu service after serving a bountiful bread basket with a staggering variety of fresh breads and pastries, as well as a sliced fruit plate with the freshest offerings that varied each morning. No breakfast buffet here. Just made-to-order Portuguese favorites as well as all the regular American and European favorites well prepared. Most days there were optional and complimentary activities such as wine tastings and various classes all limited to small groups and with tasty accompaniments. We had the best time with a family of 4 nurses from Nashville at our Portuguese white wine tasting. The included spa was a nice touch with hot tub, sauna, steam room, and bucket shower, all of which I had to myself. The lower level lounge is welcoming and built over the preserved ruins of ancient city walls which are tastefully made part of the architecture of the space, giving an historic feel and hence the hotel's name, Corpo Santo Lisbon Historical Hotel. There is an included late night snack offered daily from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. but we never got to take advantage given how tired we were from the day's explorations. My wife and I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again if we return to Lisbon."
Incredible Stay
"An amazing hotel. The staff was great and informative. The food in the restaurant and service was top notch. We took the walking tour and participated in the free wine tasting event and loved both experiences. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others. Thank You"
