Chalet D Avila

"What a great budget option! We loved our stay at Chalet D'Avila which is super clean with comfortable beds and friendly staff. The breakfast that is included is very good and the hotel is literally right opposite the exit from the metro. You can come directly from the airport to the hotel easily. Although we had requested a low floor we changed from the ground floor to the second floor which we felt was more peaceful and better overall. We had lost passports during our stay ( later found!) but the staff were super helpful in an emergency. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend Chalet D' Avila and we would return again."

"There were 2 gentleman at the front desk that were beyond exceptional. They provided exceptional guidance, were warm and kind and inviting, and made you feel like you were visiting their home. "Only spent one night, but it was fine and we could have stayed longer. The guesthouse is in a lovely old building with wooden floors and high ceilings. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable. Also a desk and table in the room, along with water and towels. Two shared bathrooms were opposite, one with a shower and one larger one with a bath. Both with a toilet. A guest kitchen and lounge and outdoor balcony are was next to our room. Everything was very clean and working well. Breakfast was ok. Not a full continental, but enough for us. A medium sized supermarket is a few metres away down the street. The location is directly opposite Saldanha Metro station, which is convenient for getting into the centre of Lisbon and also to the airport. Both within 30 mins."
