"I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to properly explore and immerse themselves into Lisbon life. It felt like it was right in the centre and walking distance to almost everything and although it’s right by a main road, I didn’t hear a thing and had a flawless sleep. This is a result as I’ve become a light sleeper in recent years. The bed was so comfortable, it was like sleeping on a cloud.
When I arrived, I was greeted by Giovanna. She was warm, friendly and attentive and it felt like I was being welcomed into the home of an old friend. I felt at ease right away. An added bonus came when she confirmed every guest gets a free beer upon arrival- that was a sweet touch and much appreciated when I just wanted to chill after flight delays etc.
The room was so stunning. It made me feel like I was back in the 60’s, it was as if each member of The Beatles would walk in at any minute and start a spontaneous jam session where they’d produce one of their biggest hits and you’d be there relaxing and bearing witness to this magical moment. If you crave that kind of nostalgia/ retro experience then this is the place for you.
The only slight tweak I would make to the room overall is to add a bin with a lid to the en-suite and then an actual bin (lid or no lid) to the main bedroom, just to dispose of any general wrappers etc.
I think the high ceilings and padded walls of the two part en suite really added to the luxury feel of the room.
The one thing I would also note if you’re staying here is that you need to familiarise yourself with which exist (entrance) you want taxis to collect you from. There are two main entrances and I kept accidentally selecting the opposite one from which I meant to. This was fine however just meant I had to go upstairs and around the corner to meet the driver which caused very minimal panic, but, panic nonetheless.
