3K Europa

"I spent five nights at the 3K Europa in Lisbon and paid around €100 per night including breakfast. For Lisbon, I found the value for money to be really good, even if the hotel has room for improvement in some areas. The hotel is overall quite dark, modern, but a bit too gloomy in places for my taste. The check-in, however, was fast, uncomplicated, and very friendly. My room was pleasantly large and offered plenty of space. The shower is particularly noteworthy: It is completely visible from the room. So, anyone who has always wanted to shower while their travel companion can watch comfortably from the bed gets this premium feature at no extra charge. 😉 For couples, perhaps still an interesting design idea; for friends or colleagues, possibly something that takes some getting used to. The shower provided additional entertainment on the very first day: The drain was presumably clogged, so the water did not drain properly and I promptly flooded a good portion of the room. For a moment, I therefore had not only a shower with a view, but also a small indoor pool. The problem was resolved, however. The breakfast was basically okay, but quite boring after five days, since it was practically the same thing every morning. As for the juices, the selection was limited to apple and orange. My highlight, on the other hand, was the mini pastéis de nata, which are, after all, almost a staple food in Lisbon. The gym is available, but I found the equipment to be quite poor. Anyone who wants to train seriously while on vacation should lower their expectations accordingly. There is also a small terrace on the roof, which mainly serves as a smoking area. It is a shame, because one could have made it a really nice space with a few plants and nice seating. Overall, I was satisfied nonetheless. The large room, the friendly service, and above all the fair price speak for the 3K Europa. Not a perfect hotel, but for around €100 including breakfast in Lisbon an absolutely decent choice—and the shower will definitely be remembered."

"This is very nice hotel, many lovely restaurants in walking distance. You can get to downtown easily with bus or metro. You can even walk. The breakfast was a little simple. However the eating area is big and bright. Staff are friendly and attentive."
