"I had spent quite sometime researching this area as I had this destination on my list for a long time. We were traveling to celebrate a special occasion therefore we paid a little more to stay in this incredible hotel. The hotel did not disappoint in its appearance.The welcome was calm and relaxing and the offer of a welcome drink made us feel quite special. The hotel is impeccably clean and the breakfast selection was top notch…however…on our first night there I woke up in the night to find a gentleman whom worked in the hotel in my room. The door was locked therefore the master key would need to be used. I jumper up and went out the room after him to which he just said it had been a busy day and he was sorry. I thought it odd that on entering the room he didn’t turn the light on. Also, this was the same person who had shown us to our room on the day, therefore, would know it was occupied. The following day I calmly discussed this with the hotel and although they apologised I don’t think they grasped how upset I was. The first night I was not able to get back to sleep and for the remainder of my holiday I had to move a piece of furniture behind the door for fear of it happening again. This situation left me feeling uneasy on my holiday but I can appreciate how lovely the hotel is apart from this. I wouldn’t return as I feel the reaction from the hotel was poor and insensitive to how I was effected, which is a shame."

"We had a lovely time, the staff was superb and our rooms were very clean. The buffet breakfast was good. It is a very big hotel and we were in one of the rooms at the very end of one of the wings so ended up doing a lot of walking to get to our room. But we didn’t mind too much as we’re young and the location makes up for it."

"A very classy and comfortable place to stay in a great location. We didn’t know how brilliant this place was going to be. Much better than we had anticipated. It was far enough away and close enough to local facilities. Ice cream stall just outside was splendid! Very clean and modern with very good air conditioning- it was over 40 at midday. Room was very comfortable, and the complementaries were much appreciated. Bit of a warren to get around, but that is one of the features. Breakfasts were very good. Only downside was the pool. The layout of the building meant you couldn’t sunbathe directly next to it, but hey! that’s what you get staying in a fort! Would I stay again? Oh yes!"
