"The accommodation complex is small, but the rooms are sizeable. I would highly recommend a ground floor apartment with garden.
Ours was well equipped with two comfortable sun loungers. 2 comfortable chairs and a small table. Our room got the afternoon sun, which was perfect.
The bedroom was a good size, lots of plugs and sizeable bathroom with fabulous natural light.
The kitchen, lounge, dining area was open plan which we liked.
The kitchen was very well equipped has toaster, kettle, filter coffee machine. 4 ring electric. Job, extractor and fridge freezer.
The pool bar area was immaculately clean, great staff and csn highly recommend the reasonably priced cocktails which are freshly made to order.
If you are arriving for check in after 2330 would recommend you contact the hotel to make arrangements.
The tourist tax was €2 per night per person.
On check in we asked about bus information as it is not in. An area where you are serviced with lots of shops. We never received the information we were told would be emailed.
We used uber to get about and would pay anywhere between €7-9 euros each way in to Vilamoura or Quarteira and €10-12 yo Albufeira.
I would say a car would be easier to get around, but unless you use zitautos for your car hire expect your insurance to ramp up the price. 3 days for a Clio size car in Vilamoura round be up to €150 fully insured (but you’d need to read what you’re covered for ( I accept no liability)
There is a Pingo supermarket you can walk to but it would take you around an hour round trip.
The gym was small but serviceable, we didn’t use the spa, there are tennis courts available.
For children with young families there is a small play park and a monkey bar type frame (but not in the exact same location).
The apartments numbered 30 upwards are in the better location.
We initially on check in were offered apartment 1 but it didn’t look much like the photos on the website and its location had a very small garden, it smelled a little musty and was directly next to the busy road on a roundabout.
The pool area had around 36 sun loungers. I would imagine in the height of summer it would be difficult to get a sun lounger, although a fabulous service the hotel confirm to us if you aren’t in the pool area for longer than 15 mins then towels will be removed from sun loungers so this avoids people running out at early doors to secure a sun lounger.
The outdoor pool jacuzzi is a winner, I’m not certain if it’s heated but this was like a warm bath in the sun, it has a seated jacuzzi for 1 person and a sun lounger in the jacuzzi. As the main pool was icy cold, the jacuzzi was understandably very popular with children, so you couldn’t always get in it.
There is lots of parking and the gates are locked at midnight for security.
I read before coming away it can be noisy. We didn’t experience this but as there are no bars or restaurants I. The immediate vicinity, there may be some noise if guests return and want to continue the party, but this could happen anywhere so I would g let it out you off."
