A soothing Tavira retreat
Set in the countryside near Tavira, Hotel Rural Quinta do Marco is all about silence, scenery and slow Algarve days. With mountain surroundings and ocean views, it gives you a peaceful base for exploring Tavira, the eastern Algarve, Ria Formosa and nearby beaches when you fancy swapping rural calm for sand and sea.
Back at the hotel, the facilities are made for unwinding. There’s an outdoor pool, children’s pool, gardens, library spaces and a spa and wellness centre with sauna and hammam. Hiking is available nearby, too, so you can make the stay as restful or gently active as you like.
Food is part of the charm, with Cozinha do Marco serving meals with lovely views and a focus on local flavour. There’s also a poolside bar for drinks and lighter moments between swims. Tavira’s restaurants are within reach for seafood, octopus, clams and eastern Algarve classics. Countryside hush, spa time and proper Portuguese plates: that’s a very mellow little masterpiece.
