AP Cabanas Beach and Nature

"Well what can I say. First time ever on an all inclusive and was not disappointed. Food and drink was perfect large choice. Very clean hotel in every area. Staff everyone I spoke to was very pleasant and helpful. Not sure why we were made to pay 5 euros to buy a swimming hat to wear in the hot tub and Indoor pool. As when we went in the other quests in the pool were not wearing them. Rules must be for everyone. Only issue I had was the towels being changed in your room there is a card to tell you to put them in the floor and they will be replaced which did it happen had to ask twice. Also I had read your water in the room would be replaced if used I had to ask more water. I would definitely return as it is a lovely hotel in a great location."

"Excellent holiday, hotel room was spacious, comfy and clean. The staff cleaned every day changing towels and refilling water and tea and coffee. Only thing was there was no milk in room but this was available downstairs. We just bought a bottle from local shop and stored in fridge in the room. Check in was really easy staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Staff explained where everything was and times for food etc lots of places to eat and lots of choice throughout the day. The main eating area was suitable for all meals. Snack bar was ok for things like burgers, toasties etc. Atmosphere was lovely in the eating area staff very busy always making sure tables cleared. Very polite. Definitely worth it holiday was amazing. Weather was amazing, we had one day with thunderstorms. But it didn't last long. Lots of choice for drinks at the bars. Pina colada's went down a treat especially sitting at the pool side. The outside pool was a little cold but ok. Although the was also a pool on the roof terrace and a smaller indoor pool in the spa area aswell as a jacuzzi, steam room and massage available too. Tavira town easy enough to get to around 10 to 15 minute uber ride. Costing around 9 euros. Villamoura also a nice place to visit around 50 minutes away. Which you could go on cruise boats to visit benagal caves, see the dolphins. Also other attractions like go karting and the aqua park. The beach is not far from hotel around 10 minutes walk to boat which then take you over to other side around 5mins ride then short walk to the actual beach. Unfortunately the beach hut wasn't open as I think it is coming to end of season for some things. But you can request packed lunch from hotel and take with you. You can also hire beach towels for 10 euros which you get back when you return towels. We had no problem with noise . Some lovely bars and eating places in tavira and a lovely little shopping plaza. We had a lovely meal in an irish bar called the black anchor We would definitely return great value for money. Well done AP Cabanas beach and nature."

"Pros • The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout — from the rooms to the shared areas. • All-inclusive drinks include a good variety of well-known international brands. • The spa facilities are lovely, with a sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi. • Uber and Bolt are very reliable and inexpensive ways to get into Tavira or Vila Real de Santo António. ⸻ Cons • You need to use your room key for all drinks, even though you’re wearing an all-inclusive wristband. The key is made of wood, so you have to be careful not to get it wet. • There’s no easily accessible beach nearby. • The atmosphere is very low-key, and staff make little effort to create a holiday vibe. Unless you’re ordering a drink, it’s easy to forget anyone’s around. • There’s no poolside drink service, which would’ve been a nice touch. Occasionally, staff hand out leftover fruit, but that’s about it. • The snack bar menu never changes — the same food every day. • The swimming pool is unheated and very cold. • The main buffet is repetitive, with poor-quality desserts. Breakfast is okay, but the bacon and sausages are disappointing. • No bottled water is available on all-inclusive, and cleaners often forget to restock water in the room. • There are very few comfortable seats around the bar area. • Evening entertainment is held on the rooftop bar, but drinks there aren’t included in the all-inclusive package. We only found out there was entertainment two days before we left. • There’s no music in the evenings by the pool bar, leaving it feeling a bit lifeless. • Some bar staff came across as unfriendly or uninterested. • The rooms have no hooks for hanging clothes or towels. • The pillows were lumpy and the bed was very firm, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. • The hotel’s location is very isolated, with little to do in the immediate area — you’re quite dependent on the hotel for entertainment and atmosphere. ⸻ Conclusion Would I return? Probably not. While it’s a pleasant and clean hotel, the lack of atmosphere, uncomfortable beds, and a series of small but frustrating issues added up and took away from what could have been a much better holiday experience."
