"We have visited this Hotel several times over the Years and as usual it never ceases to satisfy us The staff in all departments excel in their respective areas of responsibility providing a professional friendly and helpful manner and are one of the greatest assets to this hotel, nothing is too much trouble to them The location is ideal with level access providing a short walk into the town and many good restaurants Breakfast at the hotel offers an extensive selection of food frequently replenished to cater for all tastes Situated adjacent to the Marina and Ria which offers an extensive vista We look forward to revisiting again"

"Again, we had a wonderful time here. It was very relaxing, and we had the time to totally switch off, read books, and eat good food. We have stayed here quite often and find the staff so welcoming. They even bought us some champagne and sweets for our wedding anniversary, a lovely surprise."

"Firstly the good - breakfast is great, decent selection in a large dining room. Location of hotel is perfect for accessing everything in beautiful Olhao The young concierge who recognised us from previous visit, took our bags and later apologised after a mix-up that ruined our entire experience (more on that later) Now the bad - this was our 4th visit this year - Jan, March, Aug, Oct. it is also our 11th or 12th visit in 10 years but when checking in there was no 'welcome back' or any acknowledgement that we regularly stay here. Do Real Hotel group not recognise loyal customers? There is a lot thats old and tired - the carpets, the dirty windows at the lifts, the rooms need refreshed, and as with the last time some of the spa wasn't functioning, this time the sauna. The outside pool is still mostly used by the seagulls. The prices in the bar are ridiculous - 4Euros for a coke. Much cheaper to drink decent wine etc in places like Wine Time or the local bars/restaurants in the back streets a few minutes walk away. Many of the staff do appear unhappy though are helpful and approachable. The awful manager who came into our room and started going through clothes in our case before we had even unpacked as another guests jacket had been mislaid. We had barely arrived in our rooms when the young concierge knocked on our door - a navy jacket belonging to another guest was missing and had he accidently put it in our room when delivering our bags which had been in storage. We looked but didn't have it. He apologised and left. A short time later he was back with the manager to look again and we showed them our clothes but the manager started looking through our unpacked clothes in our case before leaving. Totally unacceptable behaviour and very unprofessional. Not until I confronted him 2 days later when he was available did I get an apology yet he kept saying he had done nothing wrong. The young concierge however approached us first thing the morning after the incident shook our hands and apologised profusely. The jacket had been found elsewhere. My wife was deeply upset by the entire incident yet not one message from the hotel or visit from the manager let alone a complementary gift. Real Marina needs to improve or it will lose valuable customers to other newer hotels in Olhao"
