Faro Boutique Hotel

"We ended up at the Faro Boutique Hotel after being unable to land in Madeira and being dropped in Faro. It was short notice, trying to find something as we were getting off the plane and somewhere that could take 12 of us. The staff were very pleasant and the hotel was ok. The rooftop bar was amazing, so peaceful and perfect for lying in the sun with a cold beer, there’s no pool though. They had a rooftop festival in Faro that weekend, with lots of rooftop bars taking part. Our bar had Jazz and Blues music and we got the chance to take part in building up a song from nothing. It was my favourite part of the break. Faro centre itself isn’t amazing but this hotel and location are a perfect starting point to all the trips on offer. There was a self service continental breakfast, which was more than adequate and the rooms were cleaned every day. If I ever go back to Faro I would stay here again."

"The hotel was very convenient for visiting Faro and the staff were very friendly and helpful . However there were one or two issues with the room . There was no mirror in the bedroom which made it difficult to do my hair — I had to use a small hand mirror . I need to sit as I’m over 80 and I didn’t want to hog the bathroom! There was no hanging space for trousers or dresses and we are not tall . We bought a suction clip hook and used it on the meter cupboard door ! Also there was nowhere in the bathroom to put washbags and the hooks in the shower for the wet shower towels were too high up for us to use ! There was plenty of wall space which could have been used for shelving and hooks . The air conditioning was good and the rooms were well serviced though little hand soap bar could have been replenished during our week’s stay !"

"2 night stay room only basis. Beds comfy, rooms small but clean. You can add on continental breakfast, needs to be ordered day before. Little bar area & prices are good 👍🏻 Staff are very friendly. Hotel is in good spot. Could do with coffee/tea in rooms but they do have a machine in reception where you can buy a cup. If you want to venture further download the BOLT app (taxi) we used it to go to Villamora & usually with you within mins. (Depending on busy times/season) Lots of cafe/bars & restaurants dotted about, good prices. Check in 3pm Check out 12noon"
