"Magnificent, clean resort with tennis and padel courts."

"The location makes car transportation (hire car or use of Uber or Bolt taxis) recommended. It is quite a lengthy walk from Carvoeiro or Ferragudo and both walks are not flat. Vale da Lapa is peaceful and is in well maintained grounds. There is a safe, one-way system with a low-speed restriction making the resort safe for supervised children. It is a happy place. There is a children's playground. There is a kids paddling pool outside. There is a larger unheated pool outside. There is quiet music piped through some speakers around the outside pool, terrace & restaurant. This is pleasant & unobtrusive. There is a heated pool under a moveable cover. There is a spa. There is a reception. There is a library adjacent to reception with local information. There is a bar & restaurant with a terrace. There is a tennis/padel court. There is a small crazy golf area. The cleaning team are thorough, speedy & unintrusive. Rubbish is collected & removed regularly. There is an electric car charging facility. You can rent bicycles from reception. Restaurant menus are updated daily & available via What's App as are any events or updates & customer offers for the spa etc. You can opt to reduce the cleaning teams visits (for environmental consideration) in return for credit vouchers to spend in the bar/restaurant spa. The kitchen area is well equipped with branded washing machine, dishwasher, induction hob, fan oven (electric) with grill, microwave, fridge, freezer, utensils, crockery & cutlery. Bathrooms & bedrooms are upstairs. There is a patio on the ground floor & a terrace on the first floor both with seating & tables. There are secure, electrically operated shutters on all large windows providing security and removing most noise & act as blackout blinds. TV channels are comprehensive and you can link your own mobile phone apps to add your chosen channel accounts to play on the TV. It is a high quality maybe 50" TV. Your lounge is offset from your neighbour's lounge, so TV noise from your neighbour is not heard. There are cubicle showers in both bathrooms and a shower in bath in the main ensuite. There is a bidet. There is a shaving & full-sized mirror. There are shaving points. If travelling from the UK, take plenty of European 2 pin to UK 3 pin adapters. There is a ground floor loo. There is a mop, bucket, iron, ironing board, dustpan & brush & drying rack. There are branded dressing gowns. Towels are plentiful & good quality. There is nice shampoo, shower gel, soaps, as well as "starter" washing up liquid, dishwasher detergent & washing powder. There was a Nespresso Dulce Gusto coffee machine, but you need to buy the right coffee capsules. There is a nearby convenience store within walking distance but a really good Intermarche supermarket within a 10-minute drive that sells just about everything! We are already returning customers and have booked for next year immediately on return. In October (shoulder season) I was not aware of any evening entertainment or live music events on the resort. I'm unsure if they offer any kid's club entertainment or events but this may be offered to guests with children (unsure) although there is plenty to occupy children on resort anyway. Staff were friendly, multilingual, helpful, professional & welcoming. I would be pleased to recommend Vale da Lapa."

"Beautiful resort. Beautiful gardens. A shame about the construction work on and next to the site. There are also some points of attention here and there, updating of, among others, plasterwork. Clutter and dog poop in the garden."
