"Check in was easy and staff helpful. Apartment was dated, but had everything you need for self catering. Room was very big, had table and 4 chairs, 2 comfy chairs, bed and tv. Kitchen had kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge and a 4 ring cooker with oven. Balcony area was a little small , but had a table and 4 chairs. 10-15 min walk into Alvor, which has loads or places to eat and drink. Lovely walks over broadwalks. Buses to various places can be caught from Alvor."

"This apartment was absolutely filfthy when we were welcomed. The dirt ranged from crumbs and stains on the floors and sofas to strong smells of urine in the bathroom. Our oven handle was broken and a fire hazard, as well as stained bedding and curtains. Hairs found in both the kitchen and bathroom sink, as well as a potent bad smell in the fridge & microwave. We came in the evening & rang reception to ask for cleaners; we were told none were available. One staff member, Joe. Was very hostile toward me and my friend, we are 2 young girls on our first abroad holiday & were dismissed when he came up to the room & objected every complaint we had against the apartment. It is a 2 star hotel at MOST. We have checked out 4 nights early and requested a refund, yet have been denied because the dirt & stench, apparently isn’t a good enough reason to warrant one! I would not recommend staying at this hotel on your worst days. The whole area is flighty and unkept. However the location is in a 20 minute walk into a range of bars and shops. With further contact to management; we are still denied a partial refund for the remaining nights- we only managed to put up with 1 in which we had no sleep. The beds you fan physically see the springs popping out the mattress, and windows are all barred over in metal, with 0 daylight; thus enhancing the strong and disgusting smells. We went out the morning after staying, and came back with our door wide open, which we had all of our stuff in; this is appalling. When saying about the dirty floor, Joe told us to “put a towel on top” of the mess, which really is POOR customer service. I do NOT recommend anyone stays at this “APARTMENT” it is disgusting."

"Friendliness and availability of the reception staff. Cleaning service, terrible. The other guests, especially the English ones, lack civility and education; they slam doors, drag furniture, talk loudly, whether it's in the early morning when they arrive at the "s" or shouting in the pool for those on the sunbed, they start drinking beer at 11 am and the decibels increase throughout the day, which extends to the screaming of their children in the pool, which seems to have no supervision and which closes at 6 pm... for the peace of those who have apartments nearby!"
