"I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely come back. Overall, I’d give the hotel an 8/10.
From the moment I arrived, check-in was easy and the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. In fact, the staff were one of the highlights of my stay. Every member of the team I came across was welcoming and happy to help, which really does make a difference when you’re on holiday.
My room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a balcony and a reasonable view. It had air conditioning, a safe and a stocked minibar, with the usual minibar prices. The only small thing I would have liked was a little more included coffee. You get two espresso pods for the whole stay, and additional pods cost extra. There also wasn’t any tea provided in the room. Not a major issue, but having a few tea bags and some additional coffee available would be a nice touch.
The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels were provided, although you can choose not to have them changed, which is a nice option.
Breakfast was a real highlight. There was a great selection and it was help-yourself, which suited me perfectly! Lunch and dinner were from a menu, with a good choice and reasonably priced options.
There’s one main bar, but it’s a good one. The staff were lovely, there was a good selection of drinks and snacks, and I never felt like there needed to be several different bars. Sometimes having one good bar works perfectly.
The pool area is probably the one place where I think the hotel could improve. The pool itself is quite small and very cold, and unfortunately it doesn’t get a huge amount of sun. There’s no pool heating either, so it wasn't somewhere I spent a huge amount of time in the water. There was a good selection of sunbeds and loungers though.
One thing I did notice was accessibility around the pool. There’s a slope into the pool area without a handrail, and one guest mentioned that she couldn't use the pool because she struggled with the steps and couldn't safely manage the slope without something to hold onto. Adding a handrail would be a relatively simple improvement and would make the pool much more accessible to everyone.
The location is really good. It’s around a 10-minute walk to the main strip of Albufeira and roughly 15 minutes to the beach. Old Town is around 10 minutes by taxi. There’s a supermarket and gift shop directly across the road, plus a few restaurants nearby. Kiss nightclub is also directly opposite, although it wasn't open during my stay. The location gives you the option of having a quieter base while still being close enough to walk into the action.
There isn't really any entertainment at the hotel apart from music around the pool, so if you're looking for DJs, live music or a lively evening atmosphere, you'll need to head into the main strip or Old Town. Personally, I didn't see that as a huge problem because there are plenty of options nearby.
The hotel had a nice mix of guests. There were some older guests who were clearly there to relax and enjoy the pool, but the hotel also seems suitable for younger groups, including stag and hen parties.
If I was being picky, I think a jacuzzi, a small gym and perhaps a little more of a spa/wellness area would make the hotel even better. Those additions, along with some improvements around the pool, could really take it up another level.
Overall, though, I had a very good stay. The hotel was clean, spacious, well located and, most importantly, the staff were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone I encountered was polite and helpful.
Would I recommend it? Definitely. It's close enough to everything without being right in the middle of the noise, and you can easily walk to the beach, main strip and surrounding restaurants and bars. I'd happily stay here again."
