PortoBay Blue Ocean

"Gorgeous hotel. Lovely and quiet when we stayed. Room was ready even though we arrived at 10.30am which was great. Beautiful spacious room, good shower, we thought would be noisy as near lift but it wasn't at all and I'm a light sleeper. Breakfast was amazing, good for vegans too. Drinks reasonably priced. Can't comment on other meals as we were only B&B. Pools and spa area lovely however would be nice if spa was adult only as some younger children did ruin the peace a few times! Not a lot near the hotel at all but we got Ubers into vilamoura and albufeira which came within minutes and were between 6-11 euros. Would return and recommend."

"The hotel is lovely, very modern and room is spacious. The three areas where they can improve are: 1. The draining for the shower is not working well which means you stand in a puddle of water when you are having a shower. 2. In the restaurant, the staff are standing too close to where guests are eating. They don't seem to be busy. It is very uncomfortable that a couple of them standing not far away and watching you eat. There are no sitting area that can avoid this. 3. Their review seems too long. No one wants to spend 10 minutes to answer all the questions. That is why I haven't done a review through their link, but do it here. Hope these are useful to help them improve their service."

"I couldn't recommend PortoBay Blue Ocean enough! The rooms are modern and clean, the staff are friendly and accommodating, and the food was amazing (the Flor de Sal restaurant is definitely worth a visit). Sport sessions take place daily (pilates, yoga, HIIT workout, etc) and other activities are also on offer including a walk to the local village, a cocktail making class and others. The atmosphere was very relaxing and was exactly what we needed. I would 100% recommend staying here."
