Pinheiros da Balaia Villas

"We had an absolutely amazing time at the Villa, we stayed in X which was just above reception. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming, especially Fatima and the other guys on in the age during the day / evening (sorry didnt get their names). The Villa was very clean and spacious and perfect for our needs with plenty of cutlery, glasses and utensils and handy to the pool for nipping in and out of the Villa. The only down side was the electricity constantly tripping day and night however, when we reported at 3am someone came within 5 mins, when we reported again an electrician arrived within 30 mins. They couldnt fully resolve the issued but whilst the issue was annoying it didnt impact our holiday. The ants in the accomodation were annoying, I know we are in a hot country and to expect them however, when we got up in the morning the kitchen sink was crawling, we left half a pizza in a box on the counter and went out, came back a few hours later and it was crawling with ants. We were super careful with drinks, spillages, food etc making sure all dishes were washef at put away at night and drying the sink area. We did report to reception on 2 occasions but were only given the spray on the last evening. However, we already had our own antibacterial wipes and cloths that we used to wipe down counters etc to reduce the ants. Again, annoying but didn't spoil our holiday. The pool are was lovely, super clean and plenty of sunbeds to go around with a very chilled vibe and Fatima's music choice is 💯 lol! Food in the pool restaurant was beautiful and plenty of it. The classic breakfast was lovely at only €10 including a drink. Cocktails were lovely but especially lovely on Wednesday night and very fancy! The wee shop in reception is handy for grabbing bread etc when you arrive and there is an Aldi and 2 local supermarkets and short ride in an uber/bolt. The old town was lovely but the new town didnt really suit us because we had a young child with us. Overall we had an excellent holiday and we really hope to be back. "We have just returned from our 10 Night stay here, it was superb. There were 7 of us in a 3 bed villa. The villa was well equipped for cooking and barbeque with all utensils, cutlery etc. The villa was very spacious, bathroom and lovely separate shower room. The reception staff were helpful on check in and the shop had some basics. The pool are was great, clean and with plenty of sun beds and nice relaxed atmosphere with separate soft seating area close to the bar and restaurant. The food in the restaurant was very good and the staff led by Fatima and Vasco were friendly, helpful and could not do enough for us and took tile to say hello and ask how we were. The villas are a 15 minute walk to Aldi and other local shops and a 20 min walk to the New Town and 40 min walk to the Old Town. We used Ubers to get to the Old Town, Praia de Pedranos and other local beaches. Plenty of Ubers and cheap. We were impressed all round, and would highly recommend as a holiday destination.
