"We stayed for a week in October. This hotel is more aimed towards younger children, however the amenities for children were great and they were decorating for Halloween whilst we were here and the decorations were amazing. It was easy to get a bed by the pool each day but could imagine it would be busier in the summer. The pool is freezing and everyone we spoke to commented on this as well! Housekeeping was very inconsistent, no sheet on the kids bed and bins not emptied another day. Lifts are organized chaos! Food in the buffet was lovely and varied. Dinner and breakfast were chaos with the noise and parents letting their children run wild! Standing on the window ledges and almost falling into the coffee machine. We had not issues with flies at the buffet! Hotel is definitely not 5 star, however is ideal for families with younger children."

"We had a good holiday overall (one full week beginning of June), mainly thanks to the food and the children's activities. However, for a 5-star hotel in Portugal, several details regarding the layout and comfort felt more in line with a good 4-star standard. The real highlights of our stay: + A paradise for kids: The kids' club is fantastic, run by a motivated and highly professional team. My daughter loved it, as well as the 'kids disco' organized every evening. + Pools and water slides: The hotel features numerous pools and great water slides. + The food: The restaurant buffet is very varied and of very good quality. We really enjoyed it (crab claws, vegetable tempura, tagines, octopus, all kinds of fish, pecan pie...). + The staff: Very good service from the reception team. + The entertainment: There are shows every night with a very good troupe of professional dancers. It's a positive point, even though the lack of stage sets and some technical issues (sound and lighting) unfortunately spoil the show's potential a bit. What is missing for a true 5-star: - Junior Suite layout: The surface area is huge but very poorly used. The bedroom feels almost empty due to a lack of furniture, and it's a shame there is no separation between the small lounge and the sleeping area. In contrast, the bathroom is tiny (barely 6sqm) with only one sink and no separate toilet. - Wi-Fi: The connection was completely ineffective and only worked in the bathroom. - Soundproofing: The corridors echo a lot and the rooms are poorly soundproofed. - The pool: The swimming pools water iare quite cold (around 20°C) as it is not heated."
