Inatel Albufeira

"Be aware there are 2 hotels called inatel, 1 on the beach and 1 across the road , the hotel across the road is where we stayed, from 8am until 6 pm construction work taking place, 8am alarm is a numatic drill, if you want a quiet few hours in the afternoon forget it , massive crane digging Breakfast 6/10. Beds are old and uncomfortable 4/10 . You really do get what you pay for here"

"What a dump! Reserved two nights at this hotel, but thought it was Hotel Praia, as they only show you photos of THAT hotel, not any photos of the Hotel Principal! Not surprising really as it probably has not been upgraded at any time since it was built! On arrival we went straight to the Hotel Praia and asked about an upgrade. The receptionist said they had nothing, I explained that we did not realise there were two hotels. Then he asked me how many nights we had booked? I replied two. No, nothing was his reply! I had the feeling if I had booked 5 nights we would have got the upgrade. Breakfast was good. The rooms are extremely noisy, check in 5.00pm!!!! Check out 12.00pm. Albufeira is not my choice for a holiday, we only came to do some shopping at the English supermarket nearby, which we have done a few times over the years. I would suggest people look carefully at the hotel choices, unfortunately I did not. I certainly would not recommend hotel Principsl to my worst enemy........"

"Great hotel for the price. The block we were in was right on the beach with the other block by the pool, around 50 metres further back from the beach. It's about a 10 minute walk to the centre of the old town. Rooms were quite small but adequate for the price. It did seem to take the staff quite a long time to check us in though compared to other hotels. Apart from that, great value for money."
